In Los Angeles, a teenage boy fell to his death after climbing onto a bridge to film a video for social media. The boy was taken to a hospital where he was treated, but later died.
On March 25 (local time), the Associated Press, the New York Post, and others reported that a 17-year-old boy fell to his death from the 6th Street overpass in Los Angeles over the weekend. Police responding to the call found the boy lying on the ground near the bridge. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. No details of the boy’s identity were released, including his name or where he lived.
Local police explained that the boy was climbing onto the bridge to make a social media broadcast. “The boy was climbing up one of the arches for a social media broadcast when he lost his footing and fell,” said Los Angeles Police Chief Michelle Moore먹튀검증.
The street was opened to the public in July last year and has attracted a lot of attention for its colorful lights and arches. However, it has also been the site of constant illegal racing, street occupation, and graffiti, which has resulted in frequent police presence. There have been incidents of people sneaking up on the bridge’s arches to take videos with a boy, and people being stopped for sitting in the middle of the lane and cutting their hair.
Los Angeles police officials said they will continue to increase patrols on the bridge. “The bridge, a source of pride for Los Angeles, has unintentionally become a backdrop for tragedy,” said Chief Moore, “and we will continue to provide additional patrols to counteract reckless behavior.”
