The US <New York Times> reported안전놀이터 on the 19th (local time) that it had obtained a video of this situation on the coast of Lesbos in southern Greece. According to reports, 12 refugees get out of a white van on a coastal road on April 11th. Under guard by a few men, they move to the pier and board a Greek Coast Guard patrol boat.
The New York Times reported that the patrol boat, which departed by sea, went to the middle of the Aegean Sea, left the territorial waters of Greece, and pushed the refugees back to the rubber boat without an engine. This inflatable boat had no sails or anchors. The refugees were rescued by the Turkiye Coast Guard after drifting on the sea for about an hour.
It is reported that among these refugees were a mother in her 20s and a 6-month-old baby, and a mother in her 40s with six children. The New York Times reported that they had left their homeland in Africa, which was plagued by civil war, and had been wandering around the country for several years.
